Rabbi-Cantor Marie Betcher is on the board of many fine organizations that serve the community. She is proud of her service to the following groups:

Swan Songs: Swan Songs fulfills musical last wishes by organizing private concerts for individuals with a terminal illness or nearing the end of life. At no cost to the family, a favorite style of music or regional musician is brought directly to the home or care facility. Committed to supporting live music in the community, Swan Songs compensates its musicians for each performance.

iACT (Interfaith Action of Central Texas): iACT cultivates peace and respect through interfaith dialogue, service and celebration. Interfaith Action of Central Texas exists to build healthy relationships between the faith communities of Central Texas.

Police Chaplain Project: A few years back, a group police chaplains got together to established the Police Chaplain Project. The idea was to tell the story of police chaplaincy one chaplain at a time by creating a video archive. Police chaplains come in, sit down, look directly into the camera and share their story. To date, the Police Chaplain Project has conducted more than 100 on-camera interviews with some of the most accomplished police chaplains of the past 50 years.
